You gotta fight for your right

. . . to evaluate the quality of various college parties (and assign a grade accordingly)
By JOE DIFAZIO  |  January 26, 2012

There are a lot of colleges in Boston, and they all have a lot of parties. I spent the semester trying to chronicle them for the purpose of science (full disclosure: I go to BU). I graded each school on how fun its parties were, the types and quantity of alcohol available, and the attitudes of the people I met (oh, and extra points if the girls were pretty — sue me).

 7-BC
That's me playing Buck Hunter at a bar near BC. When you're bored, there is always Buck Hunter.

BOSTON COLLEGE

Parties attended: house party, dorm party, various bars

Oh, sick, you study theology? Word. Oh, you're into Dave Matthews, nice. Oh, you have two collars popped? Cool. Your dad went here and owns a dealership in Norwood? Okay.

I bet the BC bookstore makes a killing on apparel. Every kid here has at least three articles of clothing with the school's name on it, lest they forget where they're enrolled. Overall, lots of lost points on people being lame and kind of rigid. Bros who aren't down to shotgun beers = boring bros. The girls are pretty; not a whole lot of personality, though. The best thing I think BC has going is the bar Mary Ann's, in Cleveland Circle. It's like drinking crappy beer in a barn with your whole high school.

Grade: C
