What’s better than buying fresh produce at your local farmers’ market, taking it home, and whipping up dinner? Heading to the “Celebrating Summer’s Bounty” dinner at the HALEY HOUSE BAKERY CAFÉ (12 Dade Street, Roxbury) on August 15, at 7 pm, and letting chef Didi Emmons cook it for you. The event benefits the Federation of Massachusetts Farmers Markets and features a four-course menu of vegetarian cuisine. The cost is $60, or $75 with wine; call 781.893.8222 or e-mail martha@massfarmersmarkets.orgfor tickets.
