Cancer isn't funny, but the cancer-ass-kicking fundraiser Comics for a Cure could be. The benefit will feature comics Joe List, Nick DiPaolo, Gary Gulman, Kevin Knox, and Kelly MacFarland, and all proceeds will go to the Children's Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation. (Neuroblastoma is the most commonly diagnosed infantile cancer.)

The fundraiser comes on the tragic heels of another cancer-related event: the death of Boston-based comedian Bob Lazarus, who passed away this past week after a battle with leukemia.

Comics for a Cure takes place January 9 at 8 pm at the Cutler Majestic Theatre. Tickets are $55, $40 for students. Donations also welcome. Call 800.233.3123 or visit maj.org or comicsforacure.org.
