J.P. Licks’s noodle-kugel ice cream and Manischewitz blackberry-wine sorbet

Culture in a cone

Noodle-kugel ice cream and Manischewitz blackberry-wine sorbet
My personal philosophy has always been that one can never have too much noodle kugel. I’ll eat the stuff hot at dinner, cold for breakfast, and anytime in between. And now, thanks to J.P. Licks, I can eat it in a cone. Just in time for the Jewish holidays, the local chain is churning out noodle-kugel ice cream, a tasty eggnog-y flavor complete with brown sugar, nutmeg, and bits of sweetened egg noodles. And lest you worry that all things kugel must be accompanied by the appropriate cultural booze, fear not: J.P. Licks has also introduced Manischewitz blackberry-wine sorbet — which, truth be told, tastes a hell of a lot better than its original liquid cousin. L’chaim.

Available through October 31 for $3.33 for a small; $3.90 for a medium; and $4.40 for a large at J.P. Licks. Visit jplicks.com for locations.
