Broadway Bicycle School

Broadway Bicycle School

You know what they say: give a man a bike, he’ll ride for a day; teach a man how to repair his own bike, and you’ll run him over on Storrow Drive. BROADWAY BICYCLE SCHOOL in Cambridge is a full-service repair shop with an educational element. Stop by when your bike needs a tune-up, and they’ll show you how to fix it yourself for a small hourly fee. Bring your bike and an open mind; they’ll provide the parts. Also available are classes on wheel-building and, for the lady cyclist, women’s-only classes. If you prefer to teach yourself, the shop also offers workspace. For a reasonable rate of nine bucks an hour, you have unlimited access to the shop’s parts and its convivial bike-geek vibe. And if your bike is beyond all salvation, you can buy a replacement there, new or reconditioned.
